25 Days of Christmas: No. 10 San Ramon Valley

It’s the 16th day of the 25 Days of Christmas preseason rankings for West Coast Preps, this time with the No. 10 team.
The rankings, which will tab the top 25 football teams in the Bay Area, announce one team each day through Christmas Day. The No. 1 team will be unveiled on Dec. 25 at WestCoastPreps.com.
Only schools located within cities on the Bay Area Census are eligible for the poll.
West Coast Preps unveiled the No. 25, No. 24, No. 23, No. 22, No. 21, No. 20, No. 19, No. 18, No. 17, No. 16, No. 15, No. 14, No. 13, No. 12 and No. 11 football teams in the Bay Area earlier this week.
No. 10: San Ramon Valley
An elite East Bay Athletic League football program begins the top 10 of the 25 Days of Christmas Bay Area Preseason Football Rankings.
San Ramon Valley is stepped in success, highlighted by a North Coast Section crown two years ago and a 7-4 mark last year, which ended in a North Coast Section Division I semifinals appearance. Of those four losses, three came to EBAL foes – including Monte Vista by three points to open the playoffs.
This season, the Wolves are loaded and feature one of the most complete rosters in the area.
The junior tandem of quarterback Jack Quigley and receiver Tanner Salisbury – best friends growing up – delivered as young sophomores. Quigley tossed for 1,502 yards, 15 touchdowns just six picks, while Salisbury finished with 249 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
William & Mary offered Quigley, and Salisbury’s offer list continues to grow in recent weeks – Florida Atlantic, Fresno State, San Jose State and William & Mary.
Another player to watch for is senior JP Murphy, who led the Wolves with 476 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in 2019. Murphy was a first team all-league tight end and a second team all-league defensive end.
