No. 9: Marin Catholic

Back from an 11-win season, Marin Catholic is primed for even more during the 2019 season.

A plethora of talent returns from that 2019 squad that went 11-2 – with its only losses coming to McClymonds and Cardinal Newman by a combined five points, both of whom played for state titles (Cardinal Newman won one) – and appeared in the North Coast Section Division IV championship game.

One of the marquee names coming back is senior running back Matteo Perez, who is the No. 5 player in the Xclusive Speed Top 45 Powered by West Coast Preps. The UC Davis signee rushed for 2,024 yards and 30 touchdowns as a junior, which followed up his 1,200-yards as a sophomore.

Junior quarterback Michael Ingrassia is the next star at the quarterback position for Marin Catholic, throwing for 1,688 yards and 20 touchdowns a year ago. He also ran for 315 yards and four touchdowns.

Senior tight end Geordie Aarsheim is another headliner. Aarsheim, who holds a Morehead State offer, had a team-high 553 receiving yards and three touchdowns in 2019.
