Granada catcher goes Delta College route

Granada senior catcher Logan Mock is heading to the junior college ranks to continue his star-studded baseball career.

Mock shined in the six games he was able to play as a junior, registering a 3.53 batting average and 10 RBI – eight of those RBI coming in a 16-5 victory over American to open the schedule.

Mock also played varsity as a sophomore in 2019, totaling a .261 average and 12 RBI.

Fresno State’s first 2022 commitment

Jesse Bethel junior Simeon Harris became Fresno State’s first commitment in the 2022 recruiting class.

Harris joins a Fresno State program that has experienced an abundance of success with Bay Area athletes in recent years, including its starting quarterback, Jack Haener, a Monte Vista graduate, throwing 14 touchdown passes in 2020 and its leading rusher, Freedom graduate Ronnie Rivers, leading the team in rushing with 507 yards and seven touchdowns.

His sophomore season at Bethel was a sensational one, as Harris brought in eight interceptions in Bethel’s 8-2 campaign, which was tied for the 10th-most in California and the second-most in the North Coast Section, according to statistics available on MaxPreps.
