First FBS offer for Jaron Leaks

Vacaville Christian senior receiver Jaron Leaks brought in his biggest offer on Friday.

New Mexico State was the first FBS offer for Leaks and the second Division I overall, next to UC Davis. Leaks’ other offers: Adams State, Georgia Knights Prep Academy, Lawrence Tech, Pacific, UC Davis, Valley City State, Western Oregon and Whittier.

Leaks tallied 395 receiving yards and 40 tackles as a junior despite missing multiple games with an injury.

More offers for Pittsburg 2023 stars

Fresno State added to Pittsburg sophomore quarterback Jaden Rashada’s long offer list. The Bulldogs’ offer came one week after Washington State joined the fray for Rashada, who is the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the 2023 recruiting class by multiple recruiting outlets.

Rashada’s other offers are from Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, California, Oregon State, Penn State, San Diego State, San Jose State and Utah.

As Liberty’s backup last season before eventually moving to Pittsburg in the offseason, Rashada – behind current Oregon quarterback Jay Butterfield – completed 12 of 22 passes for 129 yards and three touchdowns.

Rashada’s best friend and sophomore receiver Rashid Williams was offered by the University of Pittsburgh.

Williams has six other offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, California, Oregon State, San Jose State and Utah.

As a freshman, Williams became the first freshman to ever play for Pittsburg head coach Victor Galli, tallying 272 receiving yards and earning all-league honors while he and the Pirates captured a Bay Valley Athletic League crown.

And receiver Keynan Higgins rounded out the offers, as he was the third Pittsburg player to get an offer from the University of Pittsburgh on Friday. Arizona State offered Higgins last summer.

De La Salle youngsters garner Power Five offers

Two De La Salle underclassmen garnered offers from Power Five college football programs.

De La Salle freshman quarterback and receiver Carson Su’esu’e was offered by the University of Pittsburgh. His full offer list features Arizona State, Florida Atlantic, Hawaii, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Utah, Utah State and William & Mary.

Tennessee offered sophomore tight end Cooper Flanagan, whose other offers are from California and San Jose State.

The Volunteers offered a fellow Spartan in junior receiver and defensive back Zeke Berry last week.

Jalen Moss’ recruitment grows

The recruiting process for Menlo-Atherton junior receiver Jalen Moss is booming.

Colorado State became the latest offer for Moss, who also boasts Arizona State, Fresno State, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oregon, Oregon State and UNLV offers.

Moss finished with the second-most receiving yards (541) for the Bears last season, only behind current Oregon receiver and U.S. Army All-American Troy Franklin.

Cribb gets second offer after

Just a few days after a career day, Monte Vista senior running back Gavin Cribb’s second collegiate offer poured in from Puget Sound.

Cribb, who also has a George Fox offer, totaled 231 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries in the season opener versus Acalanes. He threw one 18-yard touchdown pass on a trick play and hauled in four catches for 36 yards.

Last season, Cribb rushed for a team-high 778 rushing yards and two touchdowns, helping the Mustangs to eight wins and a North Coast Section Division I semifinals appearance. His 258 receiving yards lifted him past 1,000 all-purpose yards.

Offer for Valley Christian lineman

Valley Christian senior offensive lineman James Le got an offer from Pacific Lutheran.

Lewis & Clark, Pacific and Puget Sound have also offered Le.
