Leaks goes JUCO route
Vacaville Christian senior receiver Jaron Leaks chose the junior college route, as he committed to American River College on Friday.
Leaks picked the school over an offer list that included two Division I offers in New Mexico State and UC Davis, along with Adams State, Georgia Knights Prep Academy, Lawrence Tech, Pacific, Valley City State, Western Oregon and Whittier.
As a junior, Leaks finished with 395 receiving yards and 40 tackles, lifting the Falcons to seven wins and a trip to the Sac-Joaquin Section semifinals.
Offers for De La Salle juniors
Louisville became the latest offer for De La Salle junior receiver and defensive back Zeke Berry.
The ACC program joins offers from Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State, Pittsburgh, San Diego State, San Jose State, Tennessee, UCLA, Utah and Washington State.
Berry and the Spartans are 3-0 this season, with wins over St. Mary’s (Stockton), Monte Vista and San Ramon Valley.
Tight end Brodie Tagaloa got a couple of offers, as Utah State and Washington State both joined the fray.
Tagaloa also boasts Arizona State, California, Nebraska, Oregon, Oregon State, San Jose State and Tennessee offers.
Arquette’s first offer
The first collegiate offer for St. Francis junior running back and linebacker Camilo Arquette came locally from San Jose State, who is the defending Mountain West champion.
Arquette is off to a strong start in the 2021 spring campaign, rushing for 111 yards and one touchdown on 13 carries in addition to 13 tackles in one game.
Last year, Arquette totaled 906 rushing yards and 72 tackles.
Vintage lineman brings in another Division I offer
Vintage junior offensive lineman Louie Canepa received a Colorado State offer during the week.
The Colorado State offer comes in the same month another Mountain West program, San Diego State, offered Canepa.
Canepa and Vintage are one of the Bay Area’s hottest teams this season, off to a 3-0 start while outsourcing opponents 165-6.
Endries’ second Mountain West offer
Monte Vista junior tight end Jack Endries garnered his second Mountain West offer.
UNLV offered Endries, which sits next to Fresno State, which was the first-ever offer for Endries on March 5.
Endries is Monte Vista’s top receiver through three games, totaling 152 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
