Power Five offers for Serra freshmen

The Serra 2024 class is loaded, and this recent week of recruiting showed why.

Pittsburgh offered athlete Joseph Bey and running back/linebacker Danny Niu. It marked the second offer for the duo, who entered high school with an offer from Arizona State already intact.

Serra is 4-0 this season and ranked No. 2 in the Bay Area Football Rankings.

Massive week for Endries

Monte Vista junior tight end Jack Endries experienced an incredible week on the recruiting trail.

Endries garnered offers from Army, Fordham and San Jose State during the past seven days. Those added to an extensive offer sheet that included Fresno State, Pennsylvania and UNLV.

Endries leads Monte Vista in receiving with 268 yards and three touchdowns (these statistics are from entering the weekend), most recently featuring a prolific outing of 116 yards and a touchdown on four catches in a 21-14 loss to No. 7 Clayton Valley Charter. His 268 receiving yards are the sixth-most in the North Coast Section, according to statistics available on MaxPreps.

De La Salle 2023 prospect garners Big Ten offer

De La Salle sophomore tight end Cooper Flanagan received a University of Michigan offer.

Next to Michigan are offers from Cal, Tennessee and Washington.

Flanagan, recently tabbed a four-star recruit and top 150 player nationally in the 2023 class, has 39 receiving yards this season in De La Salle’s run-dominant veer scheme.

Offer No. 2 for Fonua

Bishop O’Dowd senior lineman Sipili Fonua’s second collegiate football offer poured in from Iowa Wesleyan.

The Iowa Wesleyan offer joins Pacific University in Oregon, which offered him in October during the offseason.

Fonua and Bishop O’Dowd are 3-1 and ranked No. 22 in the Bay Area.
