The Bay Area Softball Rankings for the 2026 season are here from West Coast Preps. All teams located in cities on the Bay Area Census are eligible, except those in the Sac-Joaquin Section, whose programs in Fairfield, Mountain House, Vacaville and Dixon are all part of the Sacramento Softball Rankings.

1. Mitty (26-4)

Mitty beat Willow Glen in the CCS Open Championship. This year, the Co-WCAL Champion Monarchs have over Saint Francis, Hollister, Valley Christian, Capuchino, Los Gatos, Salinas, and King’s Academy, with the losses against Saint Francis, Palma, Clovis East, and Whitney in the NorCal Division 1 Playoffs.
2. Willow Glen (23-8)

Ram’s wins this season came against Saint Francis, Palma, Valley Christian, Central Catholic, Carondelet, Castro Valley, Central East, Clovis Gilroy, North, and Sanger. The losses came against Del Oro, Mitty, Saint Francis, Hollister, Livermore, Live Oak, and Alameda. California commit Alanna Clincy is one of the region’s all-around best players and the best pitcher in the Bay Area. Runners-up in the CCS Open Playoffs.
3. Saint Francis (26-5)

Willow Glen lost to Mitty in the CCS Open Championship game. Ram’s wins this season came against Saint Francis, Palma, Valley Christian, Carondelet, Castro Valley, Central East, Clovis Gilroy, North, and Sanger. The losses came against Mitty, Saint Francis, Hollister, Livermore, Live Oak, and Alameda. California commit Alanna Clincy is one of the region’s all-around best players and the best pitcher in the Bay Area. Catalina Medina is an Arizona State commit. Ranked No. 3 in the NorCal Division 2 bracket, Willow Glen opens up the playoffs against Central Catholic.
4. San Ramon Valley (23-7)

Saint Francis lost to Willow Glen in the CCS Open semifinals. Saint Francis’s victories this season came against Mitty, Valley Christian, Liberty, Willow Glen, Capuchino, Homestead, Cal High, College Park, Alameda, and Hillsdale. The losses came against Destiny Christian, Livermore, and Mitty. The Co-WCAL Champions are stacked. Jaime Oakland is a Nebraska commit. Junior slugger Peyton Tsao is committed to Stanford. Always a complete team and always one of the top rosters in the state. Saint Francis will host San Ramon Valley in the opening round of the NorCal Division 1 playoffs.
5. College Park (20-8)
Previous Rank: 5
The DAL champs beat Alameda, Clayton Valley, Castro Valley, Benicia, Liberty, Northgate, California, Vacaville, Dublin, Freedom, Rodriguez, and Pinole Valley, and losses against San Ramon Valley, Livermore, Saint Francis, Carondelet, Whitney, Alhambra, and Cal High. College Park reached the NCS Division 1 Championship game.
6. Alameda (24-6)
Previous Rank: 6
The Hornets reached the NorCal Division 2 Championship game, where Del Oro beat Alameda. It held wins against Livermore, Castro Valley, Willow Glen, San Ramon Valley, Hollister, Liberty, Cal High, and Granada. The losses were against Saint Francis, San Ramon Valley, and Castro Valley.
7. Livermore (25-4)
Previous Rank: 7
Livermore lost to Alameda in the NCS third-place game. The Cowboys hold wins against Liberty, Saint Francis, Willow Glen, Sheldon, Castro Valley, Foothill, Granada, San Ramon Valley, Carondelet, and College Park, with losses against Alameda and San Ramon Valley.
8. Castro Valley (21-6)
Previous Rank: 8
Castro Valley lost to College Park in the NCS D1 quarterfinals. The WACC-Foothill champion Trojans beat Carondelet, Granada, Alameda, San Marin, Monte Vista, Amador Valley, and James Logan, with losses against Willow Glen, Alameda, Cal High, and Livermore.
9. Liberty (22-6)

Liberty lost against Livermore in the NCS D1 Quarterfinals. The Lions have wins against Carondelet, Granada, Vanden, San Ramon Valley, Northgate, and East Union to start the season. The losses were against Alameda, San Ramon Valley, Saint Francis, College Park, and Tracy.
10. Valley Christian (20-8)
Previous Rank: 10
Valley Christian lost to Hollister in the first round of the CCS Open Playoffs. The Warriors hold wins this season against Los Gatos, Palma, Capuchino, Clovis West, Milpitas, Gilroy, and Branham. Losses were against Mitty, Homestead, Clovis East, Mitty, and Willow Glen.
11. Los Gatos (24-3)

Los Gatos lost to Mitty in the first round of the CCS playoffs. The Wildcats have wins this season against Soquel, Homestead, Milpitas, Westmont, Los Altos, Branham, Mountain View, and Notre Dame-Belmont. The losses came against Mitty and Valley Christian.
12. California (15-12)
Previous Rank: 12
California lost to top-seeded Alameda in the NCS D1 quarterfinals. Cal High beat Castro Valley, Clayton Valley Charter, Carondelet, Granada, Amador Valley, College Park, Freedom, and Bishop O’Dowd, with losses against San Ramon Valley, College Park, Alameda, Granada, and Saint Francis this season.
13. Hillsdale (19-10)
Previous Rank: 13
Hillsdale lost to Alisal in the CCS Division 1 Championship game. This season, they’ve beaten King’s Academy, St. Ignatius, Capuchino, Mills, Homestead, Milpitas, and Woodside to start the season. It lost to Mills, San Mateo, Palma, Homestead, Saint Francis, and Burlingame.
14. San Mateo (18-6)
Previous Rank: 14
San Mateo lost to Hillsdale in the CCS Division 1 semifinals. On the season, the Bearcats hold wins against Hillsdale, Capuchino, Carlmont, Notre Dame-Belmont, Mills, King’s Academy, Milpitas, Los Altos, and Burlingame.
15. Clayton Valley Charter (16-5)
Previous Rank: 15
Clayton Valley lost to Cal High in the first round of the NCS D1 Playoffs. The Ugly Eagles hold wins against San Ramon Valley, Northgate, Bishop O’Dowd, Amador Valley, Carondelet, Benicia, and Foothill this year. The losses came against College Park, Northgate, and Cal High.
16. American Canyon (20-4)
Previous Rank: 16
American Canyon lost to San Ramon Valley in the NCS D1 quarterfinals. The VVAL Champion Wolves beat Casa Grande, Petaluma, and Vintage in league play. The Wolves also have wins against Granada, Pinole Valley, Benicia, and Rodriguez. Losses have come against Vanden, Casa Grande, and Rodriguez.
17. Carondelet (15-10)
Previous Rank: 17
Carondelet lost to Liberty in the first round of the NCS D1 Playoffs. Carondelet holds wins against College Park, Cardinal Newman, Northgate, San Ramon Valley, and Vintage. The losses came against Livermore, Granada, Liberty, Clayton Valley Charter, Willow Glen, Castro Valley, and San Ramon Valley.
18. Northgate (15-11)
Previous Rank: 18
Northgate beat Foothill in the NCS D2 Championship game. During its playoff run, the Broncos beat Clayton Valley Charter, Vintage, and Benicia. Lost to the eventual NorCal Champions in Del Oro in the regional playoffs.
19. Granada (13-13)
Previous Rank: 19
Granada lost to American Canyon, holds wins against Foothill, Amador Valley, Carondelet, Freedom, California, Rodriguez, and James Logan, with the losses against Liberty, Castro Valley, Alameda, California, San Ramon Valley, and Tracy. Granada will host American Canyon in the first round of the NCS Division 1 Playoffs.
20. Salesian (21-3)
Previous Rank: 20
Salesian lost to Northgate in the NCS Division 2 semifinals. The Pride hold wins against Northgate, Acalanes, Pinole Valley, Las Lomas, Moreau Catholic, and Encinal. The losses came against Marin Catholic and Pinole Valley.
21. Heritage (16-6)
Previous Rank: 21
Heritage lost against College Park in the first round of the NCS D1 Playoffs. The Patriots hold wins this season against Cardinal Newman, Rancho Cotate, Freedom, and McQueen-NV.
22. Foothill (14-13)
Previous Rank: 22
On the year, Foothill has wins against Marin Catholic, Casa Grande, Amador Valley, California, Cardinal Newman, James Logan, and Bishop O’Dowd. The Falcons reached the NCS Division 2 Championship game where it lost to Northgate.
23. Marin Catholic (22-3-1)
Previous Rank: 23
Marin Catholic lost a two-day thriller against Foothill in the NCS D2 Quarterfinals. Marin Catholic beat Redwood in the league title game last week. Hold wins on the year against San Marin, Cardinal Newman, Petaluma, St. Ignatius, and Salesian, with the tie against Amador Valley. The losses came against Tamalpais and San Marin.
24. Piedmont Hills (24-3-1)
Previous Rank: 24
Piedmont Hills lost to Alisal in the CCS Division 1 Playoffs. The Pirates hold wins over King’s Academy, Leigh, Live Oak, Christopher, Westmont, and Pioneer, with losses to Mitty and Milpitas.
25. Live Oak (15-9)
Previous Rank: 25
CCS Division 3 Champions, the Acorns beat Los Altos, Capuchino, and Leigh on their way to the championship. Beat Amador in the NorCal Division 4 bracket before losing to Alisal in the semifinals.
