The Los Angeles Baseball Rankings for the 2026 season are here from West Coast Preps.

1. St. John Bosco (27-6) –
Despite losing in round one of the Division 1 Regional Playoffs, they still keep the No.1 spot because of back-to-back D1 CIF-SS Champs and Trinity League Champs. They defeated Norco, Harvard-Westlake, La Mirada, Sierra Canyon and Cypress in the postseason alone. They boasted a ridiculous 17 ranked wins this year.
2. Huntington Beach (24-9-1) +7
After losing in heartbreaking fashion in round one of the D1 Section playoffs, Huntington Beach redeemed itself by winning the D1 Regional Championship. They defeated Patrick Henry, Corona and Cathedral Catholic to move up seven spots. This team was one of the best teams in the area for most of the season, winning the Sunset League title and boasting wins over Gahr, Newport Harbor, Fountain Valley, Corona, St. John Bosco, Servite and Temecula Valley.
3. Norco (28-5) -1
Norco fell short in the D1 title game to Bosco, but their postseason run moves them up to the No.2 spot. They took down Maranatha, Ayala, Orange Lutheran and boasted a revenge win over Notre Dame in the semis. The Big VIII champs boasted regular-season wins over La Mirada, Gahr, Corona, Bosco, Mater Dei and Santiago.
4. Harvard-Westlake (26-6) -1
Harvard-Westlake’s season ended in the D1 CIF-SS semifinals against Bosco, dropping them one spot. This team has been unreal all year, winning the Mission League title and defeating La Mirada, Huntington Beach and Cypress in the D1 playoffs. They boasted 14 ranked wins.
5. Orange Lutheran (25-6) +1
Orange Lutheran drops out of the top three as its season ends in the quarterfinals against Norco. It’s been an outstanding season for the Lancers, boasting regular-season wins over Gahr, Aquinas, Norco, JSerra, Santa Margarita, Servite and Mater Dei. They finished 11-4 in Trinity League play, won the Boras Classic and defeated Santiago and Corona in the playoffs.
6. Notre Dame (23-9) -1
Notre Dame’s winning streak came to an end in the D1 semifinals against Norco. This team made an impressive run in the postseason, defeating Ayala, Corona and Norco in pool play. They also took down Loyola, Bishop Alemany, Sierra Canyon, Temecula Valley, Santiago and Servite during the regular season.
7. Corona (24-9) –
Corona fell short in the D1 Regional semifinal to Huntington Beach, officially ending their season. They went 3-3 in the postseason overall, with wins over Eastlake, Etiwanda and Santiago. Corona finishes the year at the No.7 spot with regular-season wins against Mater Dei, Centennial, Newport Harbor, Santiago, Norco, Etiwanda and Maranatha.
8. La Mirada (25-9) –
La Mirada’s impressive playoff run comes to an end with a D1 Regional semifinal loss to Cathedral Catholic. They went 3-3 in the postseason with wins over Temecula Valley, Huntington Beach and Liberty. The Gateway League champs finish with regular-season wins over Gahr, Servite, Etiwanda and Warren.
9. Ganesha (26-3-1) +2
Ganesha moves up one spot as they cap off their stellar D2 postseason run with a CIF-SS Championship win over Loyola. They defeated Newport Harbor, Elsinore, South Hills and Linfield Christian in the playoffs alone.
10. Newport Harbor (25-10) +2
Newport Harbor avenged their D2 Section semifinal loss by winning D2 Regional Championship, jumping two spots. They defeated Madison, Point Loma and Bakersfield Christian in the Regional playoffs. It’s been a heck of a year for the Sailors, defeating Trabuco Hills, Great Oak, Aquinas, Fountain Valley, Corona Centennial and Foothill
11. Cypress (23-9) -5
Cypress gave it all they had in the Division 1 playoffs, going 3-2 with wins over Maranatha, Oaks Christian and Sierra Canyon, but losing to St. John Bosco and Harvard-Westlake to end their season in the quarterfinals. The Crestview League champs jump four spots despite the 2-1 loss. They boasted regular-season wins over Foothill, Villa Park, Notre Dame, Mater Dei and JSerra.
12. Sierra Canyon (24-7) -2
Another squad whose postseason didn’t live up to expectations, Sierra Canyon lost back-to-back games to St. John Bosco and Cypress to end their season. The Trailblazers ended the season with wins over Oaks Christian, Bishop Alemany, Loyola, Notre Dame, St. Francis, Etiwanda and Huntington Beach.
13. Aquinas (21-10) –
Even though Aquinas was knocked out of the Division 2 playoffs with a quarterfinal loss to Newport Harbor, they still jumped two spots because of wins over Gahr and Dana Hills. The Ambassador League champs finish the year with wins over Linfield Christian, JSerra, Arcadia, Capistrano Valley and Oaks Christian
14. South Hills (23-7) –
The Huskies’ season was ended by Ganesha in round two of the Division 2 playoffs, dropping them three spots. South Hills ended the year with wins over San Clemente, Ayala, La Mirada and Bonita.
15. Loyola (19-14-1) –
Loyola fell to Ganesha in the CIF-SS D2 championship and lost to Arroyo Granda in the Division 2 regional playoffs, but they keep the No. 15 spot for their unreal playoff run. They defeated Yorba Linda, Chaminade, Bishop Alemany and Foothill in the postseason.
16. Ayala (24-5) –
Ayala drops six spots after finishing 1-2 in the Division 1 playoffs with two blowout losses to Notre Dame and Norco. They stay in the top 15 because of wins over Maranatha, Gahr and Centennial, and a split of the season series with South Hills.
17. Foothill (20-12) –
Foothill drops a spot after their impressive D2 playoff run came to an end against Loyola in the semis. They defeated Vista Murrieta, Servite and Yucaipa in the postseason.
18. Servite (16-14) –
The Friars end their season with a round-two loss to Foothill in the Division 2 playoffs, dropping them four spots. It’s been an up-and-down year for Servite, but they finished the year with wins over Cypress, JSerra, Santa Margarita, Villa Park and Loyola.
19. Gahr (18-11-1) –
A disappointing end for the talented Gladiators as Gahr falls to Aquinas in round two of the Division 2 playoffs. They ended the season with wins over El Segundo, JSerra, Patrick Henry, El Dorado, Santa Margarita and a regular-season win over Aquinas.
20. Bishop Alemany (19-12) –
After defeating Mission Viejo and Westlake in the Division 2 playoffs, Alemany’s season ended in the quarterfinal with a loss to Loyola. This is a season to be proud of, boasting wins over Chaminade, St. Francis and Harvard-Westlake.
21. Santiago (19-12) –
Corona Santiago finishes the D1 playoffs with a 1-2 record, losing to Corona to end their season. The Sharks have some solid wins to their resume, including wins over Etiwanda, Centennial, Aquinas, Bonita and Los Alamitos.
22. Elsinore (22-4) –
A team with a late-season surge, Elsinore, took down Villa Park and Santa Margarita in the Division 2 playoffs before falling to Ganesha in the quarterfinal.
23. Santa Margarita (16-14) –
Santa Margarita’s Division 2 playoff hopes were ended in round two against Elsinore. Despite the upset loss, the Eagles finished the year with wins against Mater Dei, Los Osos, Foothill, Loyola and Harvard-Westlake.
24. Mater Dei (13-15) –
It was rough sledding for Mater Dei to end the season, dropping eight in a row. They finished 5-10 in a tough Trinity League, keeping them out of the postseason. Still, they boasted wins over Newport Harbor, Ayala, Aquinas and series wins over Servite and JSerra to keep them ranked.
25. Mira Costa (21-12) NEW
The D3 CIF-SS Champs make their first appearance of the year in the top 25 after a ridiculous playoff run. They beat Arlington, Redondo Union, Dos Pueblos, St. Francis and Agoura to be crowned D3 champion.
