The Los Angeles Softball Rankings for the 2026 season are here from West Coast Preps.
These rankings were last updated on June 2, 2026. These will be updated every Tuesday morning the rest of the season.
1. JSerra Catholic (25-8) –
JSerra takes home the CIF-SS Division 1 Championship, taking down La Mirada in the title game. They had a dominant postseason run, defeating Norco, Pacifica, Ayala and Yucaipa. JSerra boasted 14 ranked wins this season.
2. La Mirada (26-5) –
La Mirada keeps the No. 2 spot after falling short against JSerra in the Division 1 CIF-SS Championship. The Gateway League champs took down Los Alamitos, Palos Verdes, Etiwanda and La Habra en route to the D1 title game against JSerra. They boasted regular-season wins over Mater Dei, South Hills, Foothill, Whittier Christian, Fullerton, Pacifica, St. Paul, Downey, Gahr and Warren.
3. La Habra (23-8) +2
Despite falling short in the D1 CIF-SS Semifinals and the SoCal D1 Regional Championship, La Habra moves up two spots for its impressive playoff run. They took down Los Altos, Murrieta Mesa, Orange Lutheran and St. Paul all in one postseason run. The Crestview League champs finish the year with regular-season wins over Los Alamitos, Gahr, Pacifica, Canyon, El Modena and St. Paul.
3. Norco (28-2) -1
Norco’s miraculous season comes to an end in the Division 1 semifinals, losing to JSerra 2-0 and snapping their 22-game win streak. Their resume is unreal, boasting wins over Poly, Orange Lutheran, Temescal Canyon, Millikan, Canyon, Fullerton, King, Notre Dame and a regular-season win against JSerra.
5. Etiwanda (24-4) -1
Etiwanda’s season ended in the Division 1 quarterfinal against La Mirada, dropping them out of the top three. It’s still a year to be proud of, as the Eagles defeated Ayala, Yucaipa, California, Ganesha, JSerra, Chino Hills, Agoura and Westlake.
6. Notre Dame, Sherman Oaks (23-4) –
Notre Dame’s 14-game streak came to an end in the D1 quarterfinal against Norco, dropping them out of the top five. The Mission League champs end the season with wins over Los Alamitos, King, Westlake, Sierra Canyon, Harvard-Westlake, Chaminade, Canyon and Oaks Christian.
7. Orange Lutheran (21-9) –
After playoff wins against Millikan and Chino Hills, Olu gets bounced out of the postseason in an 11-8 quarterfinal loss to La Habra. The Trinity League Champs finished with regular-season wins over Chino Hills, Agoura, Mater Dei, JSerra, King, Los Alamitos and Santa Margarita.
8. Murrieta Mesa (26-2) –
Murrieta Mesa’s dominant season comes to an end with an upset loss to La Habra in the second round of the D1 playoffs, only their second loss of the season. They stay in the top 10 because of multiple ranked wins, including victories over South Hills, Etiwanda, Chino Hills, Agoura, Pacifica, Valley View and JSerra.
9. Pacifica (19-11) –
Pacifica’s playoff magic ran out in the D1 quarterfinal against JSerra, but they stay in the top ten because of postseason wins over Glendora and Cypress. The Mariners also added regular-season wins over Mater Dei, Millikan, La Habra, Canyon, Orange Lutheran, Cypress and El Modena.
10. Whittier Christian (24-9-1) –
Whittier Christian enters the top 10 for the first time all season after taking down Mater Dei in the Division 2 CIF-SS Championship. They extended their win streak to 13 games in the D2 playoffs, running through Western Christian, Warren, Bonita and St. Paul to reach the D2 title game. They also boasted regular-season wins over Los Altos, Cypress and Valley Christian.
11. Oaks Christian (26-4) –
Oaks Christian drops to the No. 11 spot as their season comes to an end following a round two loss to Notre Dame. They stay in the top 15 because of their undeniable resume, boasting wins over Chaminade, Saugus, Agoura, Westlake, Mater Dei, Los Altos and King.
12. Chino Hills (21-8) –
Chino Hills fell to Olu in a 17-14 thriller in round two to end their season. They had been through a gauntlet this season, with six of its eight coming against ranked opponents. Still, it’s a season to be proud of, earning wins over El Modena, Poly, Vista Murrieta, Bonita, Los Altos, Gahr and Ayala.
13. Westlake (21-7-1) –
Despite having their season end in round two of the D1 playoffs, Westlake moves up after taking down top-ranked Paraclete and losing a close one to Etiwanda.
14. Cypress (17-13) –
Cypress demanded their way back into the top 25 following a round one upset win over top-ranked Fullerton. They ended up losing in the next round to Pacifica in extra innings, but that win alone brings them all the way to the top 15. Cypress ends the season with wins over La Habra, Canyon, El Modena, Mira Costa, Schurr and Los Alamitos.
15. Mater Dei (19-12) –
Mater Dei’s spectacular postseason run ends in the D2 Championship game against Whittier Christian. The defeated Foothill, Gahr, Vista Murrieta and San Clemente before falling short. They also boasted regular-season wins over Los Alamitos, Palos Verdes, Santa Margarita, Orange Lutheran and JSerra.
16. Fullerton (24-4) –
Fullerton drops out of the top 10 after losing back-to-back games to end the year, including a loss to Cypress in round one of the D1 playoffs. They were unbeatable for most of the year, boasting wins over Chino Hills, Ganesha, El Modena, Canyon, Orange Lutheran and Los Altos.
17. Riverside Poly (22-8) –
Poly stays in the top 20 because of a round one win over California, but Norco got the best of them in the following round to end the season. They finish the year with wins over Ayala, Santa Margarita and Valley View. Six of their eight losses have been to ranked opponents.
18. Paraclete (24-3) –
Paraclete’s win streak ends at the hands of Westlake in round one of the D1 playoffs. They closed the regular season with 14 straight wins and were a perfect 12-0 in the Del Rey league. They boasted wins over Saugus, Saint Joseph, St. Paul and Bishop Amat. Their round one loss drops them four spots.
19. Ayala (17-6) –
Ayala drops big after losing to JSerra in round two of the D1 playoffs. They stay in the top 20 because of splitting the season series with Glendora and wins over California, Charter Oak and Bonita. Five of their six losses have been to ranked teams.
20. California (24-5) –
After capturing the Del Rio League title, California gets sent home in round one of the D1 playoffs against Poly, dropping them out of the top 15. They finish the season with a solid resume, including wins over La Serna, Cypress, Whittier Christian, San Clemente, Santa Fe, La Habra and Downey.
21. Ganesha (18-4) –
Ganesha drops out of the top 10 after an upset loss to Bonita in round two of the Division 2 playoffs to end their season. The Giants’ stay ranked because of wins over Orange Lutheran, Millikan and Marina.
22. St. Paul (20-14) +2
Despite losing in the SoCal D1 Regional semifinals in heartbreaking fashion to La Habra, St. Paul moves two spots after an overall impressive postseason run. They defeated Roosevelt, Simi Valley, Saint Joseph and took a forfeit win against Murrieta Mesa. They end the year with wins over Charter Oak, Schurr, Warren, La Serna and Villa Park.
23. Palos Verdes (21-5) -1
Even though Palos Verdes lost in round two of the Division 1 playoffs to La Mirada, they reappear in the top 25 after a round one win over King. The Sea Queens’ resume includes wins over Torrance, Mira Costa, Millikan, Los Altos and Redondo Union.
24. King (22-7) -1
King ends its year in round one, dropping them out of the top 20. They stay ranked because of wins over Poly, Corona, Los Altos and Los Alamitos. Six of their seven losses have come to ranked opponents.
25. Riverside Prep (30-4) – NEW
Riverside Prep earns its first appearance in the top 25 after winning the Division 3 CIF-SS Championship and the Division 2 SoCal Regional Championship.
