Nunley picks Huskies

Freedom’s Vince Nunley is off to the Pac-12 Conference.
Nunley, a class of 2021 safety who is now at Freedom High School after shining at Encinal, announced his commitment to play at the University of Washington, adding to a recruiting class tabbed as one of the best in the conference and the country.
As a junior at Encinal, Nunley helped the Jets to their best season in nearly a decade. They went 11-2 overall and won the West Alameda County Foothill Division, advancing to the North Coast Section championship game since 2010.
Nunley, who is tabbed as a three-star prospect by 247Sports and is the No. 98 safety in the 2021 class, joins a Washington program that is entering its first year of the Jimmy Lake era after Chris Petersen led the Huskies to a 55-26 record in six years and one trip to the College Football Playoff.
