West Coast Preps has all the top performances from Monday’s action in the Sacramento Baseball/Softball Roundup:
Baseball
Cordova 6, Antelope 3
Cordova got a big-time lift on both sides of the ball in this one. Chase Morton set the tone offensively with two doubles and two RBIs, consistently finding gaps. On the mound, Brogan Ahlstrom was lights out in relief – six innings, nine strikeouts, just one hit and zero runs allowed while also adding a hit and RBI at the plate. Cordova now sits at 8-6 in Metro League play.
#15 Del Oro 12, #12 Folsom 8
Del Oro is rolling right now, and this one had no shortage of offense. LSU-bound Masen Belding led the charge with two home runs and four RBIs, while Nico Busalacchi matched him with a homer and four RBIs of his own. Jackson Gray added two hits and two RBIs as the Golden Eagles overwhelmed. Del Oro has now won eight of its last nine, improving to 14-9-1 overall and 10-6 in the SFL, tied for second. Folsom drops to 17-9 and 9-7.
#19 East Union 13, Mountain House 6
Once again, Jackson Fay was right in the middle of it. The UC Davis football signee went for three hits, three RBIs and a double, pushing his average to a ridiculous .580. And Fay reached the state track championships last year. Brayden Camara – another football standout – also chipped in with three hits, while Efren Diaz added two hits and two RBIs. They improve to 19-8 overall and 12-6 in the VOL.
#1 Elk Grove 13, Cosumnes Oaks 3
Elk Grove is the team to beat and now has at least a share of the Delta League title. Julian Arguello and Hudson Hall each had two hits and two RBIs, while Fresno Pacific-bound Tristen Bartlett added two hits. Cal-bound Chase Groves, along with Takoda Jones and Gavin Martin, each doubled and drove in two runs in a balanced offensive effort.

Laguna Creek 12, Sheldon 0
Joseph Rumbaoa tossed a one-hit shutout with seven strikeouts, completely controlling the game. Ryan Eddy went a perfect 3-for-3, while Tyger Peterson added two hits, three RBIs and a double to pace the offense. Four straight wins now for Laguna Creek, which improves to 14-10 overall and 9-4 in the Delta League, tied for second.
#24 Lodi 15, Kimball 0
Bryce Meehleis dominated on both sides – a one-hit shutout with seven strikeouts, plus three hits, four RBIs and a triple at the plate. Jonathan Trillas added three hits, three RBIs and a double, while Dalton Waites chipped in three hits. Carlos Porrello (double, triple, two RBIs) and Jax Bennett (triple, two hits, two RBIs) also shined. Lodi moves to 16-9 overall and 9-4 in TCAL play.
#2 St. Mary’s-Stockton 6, Lincoln-Stockton 1
St. Mary’s continues to dominate the TCAL, and this one clinched it outright. UCLA-bound Nico Bavaro was electric, striking out 13 while allowing just two hits. David Haggerty and Maddox Rabara each had two hits, with Rabara adding an RBI, while Ethan Silva drove in three. The Rams are now 20-5 overall and a perfect 13-0 in league play, securing their fourth straight 20-win season.
Sutter 7, Destiny Christian 5
Blake Agger led the way with three hits, three RBIs and a double, while Aiden Roesch added two hits, two RBIs and a double of his own. Sutter has now won six straight, improving to 20-4 overall and 12-4 in the GEL.
Whitney 5, Davis 0
Whitney rode a dominant outing on the mound to this win. Brad Duncan fired a three-hit shutout with nine strikeouts. Offensively, Carson Floyd and Grady Pool each drove in two runs to provide all the support needed. Whitney is back in the win column.
Softball
#5 Del Oro 5, #12 Oak Ridge 0
Cal commit Mikayla Finn delivered again. Finn tossed a three-hit shutout with six strikeouts against a talented Oak Ridge lineup. At the plate, Caelyn Campos and Cal Poly Humboldt-bound Avery Enyart each had two hits, two RBIs and a double to lead the offense. Del Oro moves to 14-7 overall and 9-2 in the SFL, tied for first with Whitney.
#20 Franklin-Elk Grove 10, #10 Sheldon 1
Julissa Sandoval collected three hits, two RBIs and a double, while freshman Natalie Tucker added two hits and three RBIs. Mya Wilson chipped in with two hits, two RBIs and a double, and Leilani Garcia went the distance in the circle with seven strikeouts and just four hits allowed. Franklin improves to 13-9 overall and 5-3 in league.
#15 Inderkum 8, Rio Americano 1
Inderkum put together a strong performance in this one. Alina Rodriguez-Maciel led the way with two hits, three RBIs and a double, while Brielle Collins homered and drove in two. In the circle, Natalie Aboosh struck out seven across five shutout innings, allowing just two hits.
#2 Ponderosa 7, Vista del Lago 0
Ponderosa just keeps rollin, now a perfect 22-0. Freshman Trinidey Fuss drove in four runs on two hits, continuing a monster season with 43 hits and 28 RBIs while hitting .581. Ari Jenks added a home run, and Lauren Klomp dominated with a two-hit shutout and 13 strikeouts, lowering her ERA to 0.75 with 182 strikeouts.
#7 Rocklin 12, #13 Vacaville 2
Sammie Snell had a huge day with two home runs, a double and six RBIs, setting the tone. Addie Titlow and Iowa commit Cat Alston each had three hits, while freshman Brooklyn Lonteen added a home run in a two-hit effort. In the circle, Long Beach State commit Payton Prior struck out 10. Rocklin improves to 17-4 with four straight wins.
#3 Tracy 13, #22 St. Mary’s-Stockton 1
Tracy continues to look like one of the top teams in the state. Arizona commit Taylor Sansaver had three hits, three RBIs and a triple, while Cal-bound Emalee Cargill added two hits, three RBIs and a home run. Ava Crivello and Taylor Munoz each had two hits and an RBI, with Crivello adding a double. Tracy is now 19-1 overall and 11-0 in TCAL play – one win away from a league title.
