1. Elk Grove (29-7) | Last week: 1

Reached the CIF Northern California Division 1 championship game before falling to Valley Christian-San Jose. Previously won the Sac-Joaquin Section Division 2 championship and defeated No. 2 St. Mary’s-Stockton, No. 6 Rodriguez, No. 7 McClatchy, No. 8 Jesuit, No. 9 Granite Bay, No. 11 Vacaville, Cardinal Newman, Clovis and Valley Christian-San Jose throughout the season. Tristen Bartlett and Landon Johnson are Fresno Pacific commits. Chase Groves: Cal. Sophomore Jayden Hernandez is a star and the son of a former big leaguer and Elk Grove great.

2. St. Mary’s-Stockton (27-7) | Last week: 2

St. Mary’s fell to Granada in the NorCal D1 quarterfinals. Previously won the Sac-Joaquin Section Division 1 title for the second time in three years with a 2-0 win over No. 4 Franklin-Elk Grove. Also defeated No. 9 Granite Bay in the section semifinals. And previously won the Boras Classic North title and has wins over No. 8 Jesuit, No. 9 Granite Bay, No. 13 West Park, No. 23 Lodi, De La Salle, Bakersfield Christian, St. Francis-Mountain View and Mater Dei. This team was loaded, too. There is UCLA-bound pitcher Nico Bavaro. There is Mississippi State-bound infielder Dax Hardcastle. There is infielder Ethan Silva. Pitcher Giani Camacho is a Cal State Northridge commit. Jeremy Krause is heading to George Fox. Ethan Silva recently committed to Hawaii. 

3. Roseville (30-4) | Last week: 3

History. Redemption. Roseville captured the CIF Northern California Division 3 title after taking down Menlo School. Previously captured its second straight Sac-Joaquin Section Division 4 title with a 4-1 victory over No. 5 Central Catholic. Earlier defeated No. 15 Del Oro, No. 16 Woodcreek, No. 20 East Union, No. 22 Folsom and No. 25 Placer. Tyler Ritter is a UC Davis-bound ace with over 200 career strikeouts. Ethan Gustus is another pitcher heading to a D1 school at Vanderbilt. 

4. Franklin-Elk Grove (25-9-1) | Last week: 4

Bryan Kilby’s tenure coaching Franklin could not have ended better than this: winning the NorCal Division 2 title in a run that included defeating Chico, Los Gatos and Mitty. Earlier swept No. 7 McClatchy and won games over No. 6 Rodriguez, No. 9 Granite Bay and Whitney. Dylan Minnatee is an LSU signee. Andrew and Noah Flores are heading to Cal State Monterey Bay. Jason Harris is off to Cal. 

5. Central Catholic (24-8) | Last week: 5

Season complete. Central Catholic’s run ended in the SJS D4 final to the hands of No. 3 Roseville. Earlier wins include sweeping No. 19 Manteca and taking two of three from No. 20 East Union to snag the outright Valley Oak League title. Max Medina is heading to Cal Poly. Chase Perino is a multi-sport star signed with Fresno State for football. Kayden McHenry is off to Sacramento State. 

6. Rodriguez (25-9) | Last week: 6

Opened the NorCal D2 playoffs with a decisive 14-4 win over Northgate before falling by one run to MItty in the semifinals. Earlier wins include No. 11 Vacaville, No. 12 Laguna Creek, No. 14 Rocklin, No. 15 Del Oro and Foothill-Pleasanton. Nick Schikore is committed to University of the Pacific. Justin Gregory: Cal Poly. 

7. McClatchy (26-6) | Last week: 7

Swept by No. 4 Franklin-Elk Grove in the SJS D1 semifinals but was without Loyola Marymount-bound star Ari Silva, who was battling a hamstring injury. Previously won 11 straight games. Earned two wins over No. 13 West Park to capture the Metro League title, alongside No. 11 Vacaville and No. 14 Rocklin. 

8. Jesuit (19-13) | Last week: 8

Swept by No. 1 Elk Grove in the SJS D2 semifinals. Earlier earned the Sierra Foothill League title and picked up massive wins throughout the year over No. 9 Granite Bay, No. 10 Rio Americano, No. 14 Rocklin, No. 15 Del Oro and No. 22 Folsom. Sammy Kane is off to Oregon. Jordan Walczykowski is heading to the University of San Diego. 

9. Granite Bay (19-14) | Last week: 9

An incredible run came to an end in Game 3 against No. 2 St. Mary’s-Stockton. Earlier swept No. 14 Rocklin and No. 11 Folsom, along with wins over No. 15 Del Oro, No. 16 Woodcreek, No. 17 Oak Ridge and was a Boras Classic championship finalist by taking down top Bay Area foes Los Gatos, St. Ignatius and Serra. Sophomore Isaac Schroeder had 50 hits this season. Junior Andrew Jones is a Sacramento State commit. The future: brighter than the sun. 

10. Rio Americano (27-7) | Last week: 10

Fell to Los Gatos in the NorCal D2 quarterfinals. Previously won its first section banner in 30 years by shutting out No. 18 El Capitan in the D3 final. Also previously defeated No. 16 Woodcreek. 

11. Vacaville (20-10) | Last week: 11

Opened the playoffs with a win over No. 22 Lodi before being eliminated by No. 1 Elk Grove. Earlier defeated No. 6 Rodriguez, Whitney, Alameda, Clayton Valley Charter and Petaluma out of the Bay Area. 

12. Laguna Creek (18-12) | Last week: 12

Its eight-game winning streak came to an end with a sweep against No. 6 Rodriguez. Earlier defeated No. 13 West Park in the quarterfinals. Also earlier defeated No. 14 Rocklin. 

13. West Park (24-6) | Last week: 13

Defeated by No. 12 Laguna Creek in the SJS D2 quarterfinals. Earlier defeated No. 4 Franklin-Elk Grove, No. 7 McClatchy, No. 14 Rocklin, No. 16 Woodcreek and No. 18 Manteca. Infielder Ayden Deome is a pro-level talent bound for the University of Arizona. Jayden McNeal is off to UC Riverside. 

14. Rocklin (14-15-1) | Last week: 14

This run was incredible. Once 0-8-1, Rocklin found its groove, won a playoff game over No. 16 Woodcreek and took No. 8 Jesuit to the brink. Earlier won series over No. 15 Del Oro, No. 17 Oak Ridge and Whitney. So much talent returns next year, including ace Andrew Hancock, top hitters Roman Castellanos, Colby Cobb and more. 

15. Del Oro (16-11-1) | Last week: 15

Won a 5-4 ballgame before falling to No. 6 Rodriguez in the SJS D2 quarterfinals. Earlier split the series with No. 7 Jesuit and has wins over No. 9 Granite Bay, No. 17 Oak Ridge, No. 22 Folsom and No. 23 Lodi. Masen Belding is an LSU commit. Brody Coxen to Arkansas. NIco Busalacchi finished with a whopping eight home runs. 

16. Woodcreek (17-11) | Last week: 16

Its season came to an end against No. 14 Rocklin in the opening round of the playoffs. A co-league champion, giving it a sixth straight league banner. Previously won games over No. 3 Roseville and No. 17 Oak Ridge, alongside a sweep of Bella Vista. 

17. Oak Ridge (13-16) | Last week: 17

Opened the playoffs with a win over Pleasant Grove before falling to No. 7 McClatchy. Earlier won series against No. 22 Folsom and Whitney, split games with No. 9 Granite Bay and defeated No. 23 Lodi in non-league play. Catcher Ryan Hubbard is heading to Santa Clara next year. 

18. El Capitan (25-9) | Last week: 18

Its magical season came to an end against Alameda in the first round of the NorCal playoffs. Reached the SJS D3 final this year and swept No. 19 Manteca in the semifinals. 

19. Manteca (22-10) | Last week: 19

Manteca’s run ended in the SJS D3 semifinals against No. 18 El Capitan. Previously won series over No. 20 East Union and Oakdale, alongside a non-league win against No. 24 Lodi. A terrific 2027 class will return next year. 

20. East Union (21-10) | Last week: 20

East Union’s magical run ended in the SJS D4 semifinals against No. 3 Roseville. Its 21 wins were the most in over two decades. It also reached the semis for the first time in 15 years. Kirk Simoni is heading to Montana State-Northern for football. Jackson Fay? UC Davis for football. 

21. Enochs (17-13) | Last week: 21

Enochs made a statement by traveling to No. 22 Folsom and winning the first-round D1 playoff game before being eliminated by No. 4 Franklin-Elk Grove. Earlier won non-league games against No. 12 Laguna Creek and No. 19 Manteca. 

22. Folsom (18-11) | Last week: 22

Fell to No. 21 Enochs in the first round of the SJS D1 playoffs. Earlier won a series over No. 7 Jesuit for the first time since 2014, alongside wins over No. 13 West Park, No. No. 14 Rocklin and No. 15 Del Oro. Manny Orange is a Menlo College commit. 

23. Lodi (18-10) | Last week: 23

Came oh-so-close against No. 11 Vacaville in the D2 playoffs. Still won 15 of its final 18 games, including over No. 24 Turlock. 

24. Turlock (22-7) | Last week: 24

Won against Edison-Stockton and lost a one-run ballgame to No. 9 Granite Bay in the SJS D1 quarterfinals. Won 19 of its last 22 and captured the CCAL crown. Also won a non-league game against No. 19 Manteca. 

25. Placer (23-6) | Last week: 25
