West Coast Preps is in its first year of covering high school sports in the Bay Area and is a free platform aimed at letting all of the remarkable stories regarding student-athletes be heard. This is a voluntary contribution to help us during our first year to continue taking pictures, videos at events and allow us to create more quality content in the future. West Coast Preps and Brandon Younger are pleased to announce the unveiling of the Routes vs. Coverage Showcase.
The RVC Showcase, which is planned for 1-6 p.m. on Nov. 7, will feature exciting action for the duration of the afternoon. There is combine testing, 1-on-1 competition and then a 7-on-7 tournament to wrap up the festivities.
“I am really excited to be joining forces with West Coast Preps to bring a very unique experience to the showcase platform in Northern California,” Younger said.
The showcase is invite only, as the first eight quarterbacks, eight running backs, 20 wide receivers, eight tight ends, 16 linebackers and 20 defensive backs who signed up after being invited will round out the roster for the day.
Four teams will compete during the 7-on-7 tournament, with a draft scheduled following the 1-on-1 competition. Each team will feature two quarterbacks, two running backs, four receivers, two tight ends, four linebackers and five defensive backs.
All players will also receive a camp shirt and soft shell helmet.
Combine results and film from the competition will be sent out to colleges.
All media who wish to cover the showcase should email West Coast Preps President Chris Jackson at email@example.com to request a credential.
“West Coast Preps is excited to work with Brandon Younger and provide a terrific opportunity for some of the country’s top athletes to showcase their talents, which will all be done in a safe manner that follows strict COVID-19 guidelines,” Jackson said. “The Bay Area is filled with special athletes, and we can’t wait for what will be a fun day of competition while helping boost the profiles for everyone involved.”
