Contribute to West Coast Preps

West Coast Preps is in its first year of covering high school sports in the Bay Area and is a free platform aimed at letting all of the remarkable stories regarding student-athletes be heard. This is a voluntary contribution to help us during our first year to continue taking pictures, videos at events and allow us to create more quality content in the future. Contributions to West Coast Preps are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

West Coast Preps welcomes interns

West Coast Preps is excited to announce the addition of interns for the spring semester. All boast impressive work ethics, experience and character, and West Coast Preps can’t wait to showcase all of their work over the next few months.

Marketing Interns

John Cini

I was born in Boston, but grew up in Agoura Hills, Southern California. Currently in my senior year at Sonoma State University majoring in Communications. I have been playing baseball for the past 13 years. When I’m not playing baseball I like to work on my subpar golf game. I learned the ins and outs working on KSUN radio at Sonoma State from on air interviews to marketing. I hope to further my knowledge in this area.

Evan Fate

My name is Evan Fate and I am a senior at Sonoma State University. I’m a business major with a marketing concentration. I learned to love sports at a young age, football being my favorite. Being from San Diego, I have always been a die hard Chargers fan. The move to Los Angeles was painful, but I’m sticking with my team. I played football for eight years, the last of them being at Torrey Pines High School. I’ve always been a very social person, so choosing the business route in college was a pretty easy decision for me. My goal is to combine my love for sports and interest for business into a lifetime career. That being said, I am very excited to intern here at West Coast Preps.

Reporting Interns

William Lepori

Native of the Bay Area, Willy grew up in Sonoma County in the small town of Valley Ford. He played football, basketball and baseball while attending Tomales High School. Willy also went on to play football at Santa Rose Junior college, while majoring in Media Communications. He is now in his final year at Sonoma State and hopes to one day work in the sports media field, preferably in the Bay Area. Willy has coached football at Tomales High School in 2019, where he was the running backs coach. Hobbies include hunting, fishing, surfing and snowboarding.

Jake Morrissey

I am a third-year communications major at Sonoma State University and I am from Chico, California. My hobbies include playing basketball, watching any kinds of sports and writing. I am a pretty die-hard fan of the Milwaukee Bucks, San Francisco Giants and the Minnesota Vikings.

Graphic Design Interns

Cameron Songey

I’m Cameron. I’m an Illustration major at Cal State University East Bay and have been doing art my whole life. My future goal is to either become an illustrator or a concept artist. Sports, along with pop culture and music, are the main aspects that inspire me to create art for myself as well as others.
