West Coast Preps, Xclusive Speed announce Top 45 partnership

The Xclusive Speed Top 45 Powered by West Coast Preps will launch Oct. 19.

West Coast Preps and Xclusive Speed are excited to announce the launch of a new partnership for player rankings.

The two companies have formed the “Xclusive Speed Top 45 Powered by West Coast Preps” list, which is a list that will rank the top 45 players in football, basketball, baseball and track and field in the Bay Area.

We’ll start our first Top 45 with football, officially launching Monday, Oct. 19 on both of our platforms, including our YouTube channel. Each Monday we will be rolling our five new athletes, working our way up to the top five athletes, which will be announced Dec. 14.

“We as a brand are thrilled to partner with West Coast Preps as we bring a unique spin on Bay Area athletics and how these athletes will potentially gain exposure from this list we’ve curated and bring some positive light to those deserving of some shine,” said Xclusive Speed Founder and Head Trainer Giles Chapman.

A postseason list will also be devised following the conclusion of the playoffs, including an all-area team.

Player rankings are based on their overall body of work – including past accomplishments, their profile on the recruiting trail and growth over the offseason.

Only athletes from the Bay Area will be eligible for the rankings, ranging from Mountain House, to Mountain View, to Napa and more. The list of all the Bay Area cities eligible can be found on the Bay Area Census.

Also note that multiple players have opted to enroll to their respective universities for the spring semester and will not play their senior years of high school. Some players may choose to enroll early as the list is being released weekly, and the list is dated as of Oct. 15 for players decisions as the rankings will not be able to change as they are being sent out every week.

“West Coast Preps is thrilled to announce this partnership with Xclusive Speed,” said West Coast Preps President Chris Jackson. “Both companies are dedicated to recognizing and helping boost the profiles of every athlete in the Bay Area, and this partnership highlights our desire to find another way to honor all of the amazing student-athletes in the region.”
