Bay Area Baseball Team Rankings

1. Valley Christian (23-9)

Last Week: 3

Valley Christian’s playoff run was unmatched, as the Warriors went five straight shutouts to the CCS and NorCal Division 1 Championships. During their playoff run, Valley shut out Los Gatos, Soquel, De La Salle, Bullard, and Elk Grove. On the year, the Warriors swept both St. Ignatius and Serra, while also holding wins against Folsom, Bellarmine, Mitty, Carmel, and Cardinal Newman.

2. De La Salle (23-5)

Last Week: 1

The Spartans won the NCS Division 1 Championship and the East Bay Mountain Athletic League and held wins against San Ramon Valley, Centennial-Corona, Bishop Amat, Foothill, Granada, and Elk Grove. Lost to the eventual NorCal Champion Valley Christian Warriors in the NorCal semifinals. The team forfeited three games to start the season as a part of their five-game suspension for conduct violations.

3. Saint Francis (25-4)

Last Week: 2

On the year, the WCAL Champion Lancers hold wins against Bellarmine, Serra, Valley Christian, St. Ignatius, Franklin, Oak Ridge, Carmel, Menlo-Atherton, Mitty, Leigh, and Sequoia. The losses came against De La Salle in the NorCal Playoffs, Soquel, St. Ignatius, and St. Mary’s-Stockton.

4. Granada (20-10)

Last Week: 4

Granada peaked at the right time for a playoff run in the NCS Division 1 playoffs for a trip to the championship game. The Matadors beat St. Mary’s-Stockton, Clayton Valley Charter, San Ramon Valley, Foothill, James Logan, Livermore, San Ramon Valley, Alhambra, Monte Vista, and Berkeley this past year.

5. Los Gatos (26-5)

Last Week: 5

LG held this season against Bellarmine, Rio American, Whitney, Wilcox, Palo Alto, Menlo, and Menlo-Atherton, with the losses against Serra, Valley Christian, Franklin, Los Altos, and Granite Bay. Los Gatos had a really strong core from the Class of 2026, and the Wildcats added another De Anza League Championship.

6. St. Ignatius (17-9)

Last Week: 7

St. Ignatius lost in the first round of the CCS Playoffs to Soquel. SI beat St. Francis, Serra, Cardinal Newman, Soquel, Mitty, and Granada, with the losses coming against St. Francis, Valley Christian, Serra, Acalanes, Franklin, Granite Bay, and Mitty on the year. 

7. Clayton Valley Charter (24-4)

Last Week: 6

The DAL-Foothill Champion Ugly Eagles held wins against Redwood, College Park, Campolindo, Benicia, Rodriguez, Granada, Vanden, and Bear Creek. Lost against Mitty, Granada, Campolindo, Vacaville and Monte Vista in extra innings.

8. Redwood (24-5-1)

Last Week: 8

Redwood was eliminated in the NCS Division 1 third-place game against Clayton Valley Charter. The Giants beat Liberty, College Park, Monte Vista,  San Marin, Vintage, Marin Catholic, San Rafael, and Archie Williams, with a tie against Acalanes and losses to Novato and Petaluma.

9. Serra (17-10)

Last Week: 8

Serra lost to Saint Francis to start the CCS D1 Playoffs last week. The Padres hold wins against Bellarmine, Mitty, St. Ignatius, St. Mary’s-Stockton, Foothill, Franklin, West Park, Los Gatos, College Park, and Menlo-Atherton. The losses came against Bellarmine, St. Ignatius, Valley Christian, Granite Bay, and San Ramon Valley.

10. Bellarmine (20-8)

Last Week: 9

Bellarmine lost to Los Gatos in the opening round of the CCS D1 Playoffs. This year, Bellarmine has beaten Mitty, Jesuit, King’s Academy, and Oak Ridge, and split series against Valley Christian, St. Ignatius, Serra, and Buchanan. 

11. Mitty (20-12)

Last Week: 18

Mitty had a great run in both the CCS and the NorCal D2 Playoffs, winning the D2 section title and reaching the NorCal Championship as the No. 8 seed. The Monarchs held wins against Clayton Valley Charter, Carmel, Rodriguez, St. Ignatius, Valley Christian, Carlmont, Burlingame, Menlo-Atherton, King’s Academy, and Hollister. Lost to Franklin in the NorCal Division 2 Championship game.

12. Monte Vista (19-7)

Last Week: 11

Monte Vista lost to Granada in the NCS D1 Quarterfinals. On the year, the Mustangs hold wins against Dublin, Liberty, Foothill, Clayton Valley, San Ramon Valley, Livermore, and Berean Christian. Losses came against College Park, Alhambra, Granada, De La Salle, and Redwood. Junior Ole Miss Commit Gavin McMillan is one of the top pitchers in Northern California.

13. College Park (19-6)

Last Week: 12

College Park lost to Alhambra in the first round of the NCS D1 playoffs. The Falcons have soared, beating Liberty, Campolindo, St. Mary’s-Stockton, San Ramon Valley, Rocklin, Cardinal Newman, Granada, and Foothill. The losses came against Clayton Valley Charter, Acalanes, Serra, and Redwood.

14. San Ramon Valley (13-10-2)

Last Week: 15

San Ramon Valley lost to Granada in the first round of the NCS Playoffs. This year, SRV has won against Granada, Serra, Foothill, Amador Valley, Acalanes, Livermore, Petaluma, California, and Vacaville, with the losses to College Park, Amador Valley, Foothill, Dublin, and Monte Vista.

15. Novato (22-6)

Last Week: 14

NCS Champs! Northgate won the NCS Championship, beating Alameda on Saturday for the title. The Broncos hold wins over Liberty, Casa Grande, Miramonte, Campolindo, Moreau Catholic, Livermore, and Freedom, with losses to Benicia, Foothill, and Encinal. Northgate faces Rodriguez in the NorCal Division 2 opening round on Tuesday.

16. Northgate (22-7)

Last Week: 15

Northgate won the NCS 2 Championship, beating Alameda for the program’s first section title this season. The Broncos hold wins over Liberty, Casa Grande, Miramonte, Campolindo, Moreau Catholic, Livermore, and Freedom, with losses to Benicia, Rodriguez, Foothill, and Encinal.

17. Petaluma (22-6)

Last Week: 16

Petaluma lost to Redwood in the NCS Division 1 Quarterfinals. The VVAL Champion Trojans beat Berkeley, Redwood, Casa Grande, Justin-Siena, Acalanes, Miramonte, Vintage, Livermore, Tamalpais, and San Marin, with the losses against San Ramon Valley, Marin Catholic, Casa Grande and Vacaville in extra innings.

18. Berkeley (21-5-1)

Last Week: 17

Berkeley lost against Petaluma in the first round of the NCS D1 Playoffs The WACC-Foothill Champion Yellowjackets have beaten Bishop O’Dowd. Foothill, Encinal, Marin Catholic, Alameda, James Logan, Las Lomas, Alhambra, and El Cerrito this season. The tie was against Heritage, with the losses against Granada, Piedmont, Encinal, and Castro Valley.

19. Foothill (14-11)

Last Week: 17

Foothill lost to Novato in the NCS D1 playoff opening round. The Falcons hold wins this year against De La Salle, San Ramon Valley, Northgate, Campolindo, Acalanes, California, Washington, Livermore, James Logan, and Del Oro, and with the losses against College Park, San Ramon Valley, De la Salle, Granada, Berkeley, Serra, and Rodriguez.

20. Casa Grande (20-7)

Last Week: 20

Casa Grande lost to Northgate in extra innings in the NCS Division 2 Smifinals. The Gauchos beat Petaluma, Miramonte, Vintage, Rancho Cotate, Justin-Siena, American Canyon, Tamalpais, and Windsor this season. Losses have come against San Marin, Las Lomas, Petaluma, Cardinal Newman and Novato. 

21. Liberty (17-8)

Last Week: 19

The Lions lost against Monte Vista in the first round of the NCS D1 playoffs. Liberty holds wins against Jesuit, Heritage, Benicia, Granada, Pittsburg, Tracy, Rodriguez, and Encinal. Losses came against Heritage, Northgate, Pittsburg, Redwood, and College Park.

22. Dublin (18-8)

Last Week: 22

Dublin lost to No. Clayton Valley Charter in the opening round of the NCS D1 Playoffs. The Gaels beat Granada, San Ramon Valley, California, Heritage, Castro Valley, Milpitas, Irvington, and Kimball this year. Lost against Monte Vista, Foothill, De La Salle, California, Redwood, and Amador Valley.

23. Willow Glen (23-2-1)

Last Week: 23

Willow Glen lost to Valley Christian in the first round of the CCS D1 playoffs. On the year, the Rams hold wins against Leigh, Milpitas, Scotts Valley, Piedmont HIlls, Half Moon Bay, Branham, Westmont, and Santa Teresa. The losses have come against Soquel and Pioneer.

24. Menlo (22-11)

Last Week: NR

Menlo peaked during the playoffs, winning the CCS Division 3 Championship and making it to the NorCal Division 3 Championship game. During its playoff run, the Knights beat Aptos, Wilcox, James Logan, and Alameda. Menlo lost against Roseville in the NorCal title.

25. Heritage (16-8-1)

Last Week: 24

The Patriots lost a thriller against De La Salle in the NCS D1 opening round. Heritage won the BVAL and beat Liberty, Alameda, Antioch, Alhambra, Kimball, and Tokay to start the season, with a tie against Berkeley and losses to Liberty, Burlingame, Freedom, Central Valley and Dublin.
